EQUIPMENT
1.	Can I insure accessories such as a carry case, printer and spare battery? Yes, providing you request these items to be listed on the certificate of insurance and the sum insured is adequate for all insured items
2.	Can I insure my software? We can insure an operating system or an application program which is generally available for retail sale which can be replaced by means of purchasing a copy of it without the need for individual reprogramming or program writing
3.	What is the maximum age of equipment that I can insure for new business? 3 months if you are an individual or 12 months if you are a company or educational establishment
4.	What value should I insure my laptop for? The value should be the usual, undiscounted cost including VAT for today’s replacement cost
5.	Do I need proof of purchase of my equipment? Yes, in the event of a claim the original proof of purchase will be required
6.	Is my serial number required? Yes, we need the serial number(s) for all insured equipment
7.	Can I insure used or re-furbished equipment? No
8.	Can I insure equipment purchased from auction sites such as e-bay? No
9.	Can I insure custom built equipment? We may be able to help, please contact us to discuss further
10.	Can I insure equipment purchased from outside the UK? No, we can only insure equipment with a UK specification purchased within the UK
11.	Are there any items I cannot cover?
